Transport & Social Exclusion: Three Years On
23th February 2006
Leeds Town Hall (U.K.)
Three years have passed since the publication of the Social Exclusion Unit’s seminal ‘Making the Connections: Transport and Social Exclusion’ report on 26 February 2003. Problems with transport and the location of services contribute to social exclusion by preventing people from participating in work and learning, accessing healthcare, food shopping and other local activities. We are organizing a conference, sponsored by pteg, to review progress, stimulate a renewed focus on the issue, highlight innovative work and bring together social policy and transport professionals.
